A different kind of thriller: Ayako meets her old school-friend Yukari and they rekindle their past friendship. Soon Ayako’s odd and condescending behavior makes Yukari suspicious. But is Yukari really that innocent? In her debut feature film, Ayumi SAKAMOTO examines the half-life of hatred and its escalation years later. The measured pace in the beginning suggests a completeness and monotony that is not really there.

About Ayumi SAKAMOTO
Ayumi SAKAMOTO was born in Kumamoto in 1981. She worked on several Shinya TSUKAMOTO films, including VITAL (2004 / NC ’05), as a directing, lighting, and camera assistant. FORMA is her first feature film production as a director and has already won several awards at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Berlinale.
