Ryo TAKEBAYASHI, born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1984, started his career in a production company for commercials, TV and online formats. Since 2016, he has been working as a director. For his million-views YouTube short film HELLO! BRAND NEW WORLD! (2019), he received numerous awards. His first feature-length film, the coming-of-age documentary BOOKMARK 14, was released in 2021.
