Fujino dreams of becoming a manga artist. When the reclusive Kyomoto publishes a manga in the school newspaper, Fujino is awed by her talent. The two girls strike up an unconventional friendship – until a dramatic event changes their lives. LOOK BACK is a moving adaptation of the eponymous manga by Tatsuki FUJIMOTO and amazes with its unique animation style.

About Kiyotaka OSHIYAMA
押山清高
Born in Fukushima Prefecture in 1982, Kiyotaka OSHIYAMA was a key animator for numerous successful productions, including EVANGELION: 2.0: YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE (2009), A LETTER TO MOMO (2011 / NC ’13), and the Studio Ghibli films THE WIND RISES (2013) and THE BOY AND THE HERON (2024). He launched his own studio, Studio Durian, in 2017., His directorial feature film debut LOOK BACK (2024 / NC ’25) was awarded the Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Animated Film in 2025.
