Shiori, who gave up her dancing career due to an injury, works as an assistant to her former teacher Kumiko. When Kumiko holds a workshop for couples, Shiori wants to participate with her husband. Since he turns her down, she rents an actor as her fake husband. In her sensual debut film, Enen YO depicts the effects of social isolation in Japan.

About Enen YO
余園園
Chinese director Enen YO graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 2015. After completing a one-year Japanese language program at Waseda University, she studied filmmaking at Tokyo Visual Arts and at the Graduate School of Rikkyo University, where she made her first feature film DOUBLE LIFE (2022 / NC ’23) under director Kunitoshi MANDA’s guidance.
