About Shinji ARAKI
荒木伸二
Shinji ARAKI graduated from the University of Tokyo, where he majored in Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies. In his thesis, he focused on the work of filmmaker Jacques Rivette. He directed several TV commercials and music videos besides working as a creative director and TV commercial planner. THE TOWN OF HEADCOUNTS (2020 / NC ’21) is his feature-length directorial debut.
