Teenagers Bon and Lin travel to Tokyo to find a lost friend. Since they are both “boys’ love”-manga fanatics, they receive help from a middle-aged man they contacted through a fan forum. What could easily be a smutty journey through Japan’s cultural underbelly turns out to be a hilarious but nonetheless touching story about the search for one’s individuality.

About Keiichi KOBAYASHI
小林啓一
Born in Chiba in 1972, Keiichi KOBAYASHI studied at Meiji University. After directing numerous music videos, commercials and online series, his debut feature ABOUT THE PINK SKY won him the Japanese Eyes Best Picture Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival in 2011.
