Nippon Cinema   ª

Kan MUKAI’s BLUE FILM WOMAN is one of the first pink films shot in color, made by one of the forgotten heroes of this subgenre of low-budget erotic cinema. It details a young woman’s attempts to blackmail a corrupt banker who is responsible for her parents’ deaths – with 1960s’ swinging Tokyo in all its psychedelic glory serving as the story’s backdrop. Rapid Eye Movies presented 2018 the German premiere of their brand-new restoration of the film.
