About Junko HIRATA
平田潤子
Junko HIRATA was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1976. After graduating from Ritsumeikan University, she joined the film production company Telecom Staff in 2000. She mostly works on documentary films about art for cinema and television. In 2006, she received the ATP Newcomers Prize for LOVE STORY OF THREE GENERATIONS - IT IS THAT NOW I’M HERE -. She received further awards for her films NIPPON NO KIOKU (2010) and NANYADORA: SONGS FOR THE DEAD AND ALIVE (2011).
