Let Me Hear It Barefoot

Nippon Visions   ½

Naomi’s dull life changes when he meets Maki, who is supposed to travel the world at the request of his blind adoptive grandmother. Lacking money, Naomi and Maki decide to fake the trip with audio letters. In the process, they become closer to each other. With naturalistic imagery, LET ME HEAR IT BAREFOOT is both an emotive LGBTQ drama and a tribute to Wong Kar-Wai's HAPPY TOGETHER.
