Yukio’s uncle is a prime example of a freeloader. The long-term doctoral student stays in bed all day, reading comic books. But when he meets the beautiful Eri, his life is thrown off course. In this dramatization of Morio KITA’s novel, YAMASHITA presents us with an unlikely duo. Fast-paced and full of dry humor, the film revisits one of the director’s most beloved characters: the slacker.
