Recently separated from her layabout husband, Komaki takes her daughter Nonchan and moves back to her hometown to live with her mother. For a single mother in her 30s with no qualifications and no experience, finding a decent job is not easy. When she discovers that her "Noriben" bento is a big hit at her daughter's kindergarten she comes up with a brilliant idea.

About Akira OGATA

While working as an assistant director to Sogo ISHII, Akira OGATA (*1959) made his own independent film, CHINESE CABBAGE MAN (1980), which was selected for the PIA Film Festival. He made his big screen debut with BOY`S CHOIR, which was awarded the Alfred Bauer Prize at the 50th Berlin International Film Festival in 2000.
