Masaki HARAMURA
天に栄える村
Nippon Visions ½
In 2009, Masaki HARAMURA began working on this project about a group of farmers growing organic rice in Tenei village (Fukushima Prefecture). The initial success of their products was overwhelming, but then the disaster at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant changed everything. Far from naive sentimentalism, HARAMURA presents a highly relevant portrait of strong-willed characters.
