Which leg does an ant use to start walking? Painter Morikazu KUMAGAI (1880–1977) could ponder over such questions for hours. An eccentric personality who seems perfect for a filmic portrait. However, Shuichi OKITA doesn’t go for a run-of-the-mill biopic in his latest work, but presents a day in the life of an artist as an ironic comedy, spiced with a dash of slapstick.
