About Steven OKAZAKI
Steven OKAZAKI was born in Los Angeles in 1952 as a grandson to Japanese immigrants. Since his filmmaking debut in 1976 he has directed numerous documentary films, including DAYS OF WAITING, which won the 1991 Academy Award for Documentary Short Subject, and WHITE LIGHT/BLACK RAIN, which won a 2008 Emmy Award. Other films like UNFINISHED BUSINESS (1985) and THE MUSHROOM CLUB (2006) received nominations for an Academy Award.
