About Yutaka MATSUSHIGE
松重豊
Yutaka MATSUSHIGE, born in Fukuoka in 1963, studied Theater Studies at Meiji University. Afterwards, he began his acting career at Gekisha Ninagawa Studio. His film debut came in 1992 with Kiyoshi KURASAWA’s THE GUARD FROM UNDERGROUND. Since then, he has regularly appeared on stage, in TV dramas, and theatrical films. He has been playing the lead role in the successful TV series SOLITARY GOURMET since 2012, which was the basis for his directorial debut THE SOLITARY GOURMET (2024 / NC ‘25).
