“Norths” are very solitary places. In his attempt to describe the people he has met while visiting those “Norths”, the narrator cautions: His memories are fragmented and very unreliable. Based on a series of his own illustrations, famed animator Koji YAMAMURA delivers his feature-length debut, an ominous and surreal stream of consciousness.
About Koji YAMAMURA
山村 浩二
Koji YAMAMURA, born in Nagoya in 1964, made his first animation film at the age of 13 and later studied painting at Tokyo Zokei University. He worked as an assistant at various animation studios and founded his own production company Yamamura Animation in 1993. He also works as a book illustrator and teaches at Tokyo University of the Arts.
