Keiko is a young, professional boxer with a hearing impairment. Her most important supporter is her long-time trainer. When he develops health problems, the familiar training studio and Keiko’s career are at risk. In his empathetic character study, director Sho MIYAKE counts on an outstanding acting ensemble including leading actress Yukino KISHII.

About Sho MIYAKE
三宅唱
Sho MIYAKE, born in Sapporo in 1984, attended Tokyo Film School. His 2008 short film TONGUE OF SPY won the Grand Prix of the CO2 Festival in Osaka in 2009. His second film PLAYBACK was selected for international competition at the 2012 Locarno Film Festival. His documentary THE COCKPIT (2014 / NC ’15) won him the NIPPON VISIONS JURY AWARD. His films AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING (2018, NC ’19) and SMALL, SLOW BUT STEADY (2022, NC ’22) were shown at the Berlinale.
