One day, he is forced to face the fact that his mother, who is suffering from dementia, will have to live in a medical care home. A warm-hearted family comedy with serious undertones, this film was one of the favorites of Japanese cinema audiences in 2013.

About Azuma MORISAKI
森﨑東
Azuma MORISAKI (1927 – 2020) studied law at Kyoto University before working as an assistant director and script writer at Shochiku Studios. In 1969, he made his debut as a director with WOMAN CAN`T BE BEATEN. He received a number of awards at events like the Tokyo International Film Festival.
