Japanese Zen monks began playing the shakuhachi, a type of bamboo flute, around 600 years ago. The instrument is known for its warm, lively tone. In his solo concert, American shakuhachi player Tony CLARK brings its expressive, traditional sound to life and invites the audience to join him in a musical meditation.
