In her poetic matinée-concert “HaiKu-la-Vier”, multi-award winning pianist Masako OHTA combines Japanese haiku with piano music from different eras and cultures. The four seasons, which carry a special meaning in Japanese poetry, are at the center of her haikus. OHTA reads the poems in German and Japanese and evokes fleeting sound images oscillating between language, nature, and music.
