Workshop: Washi Paper

For centuries, washi – traditional Japanese paper – has been painstakingly made by hand from plant fibers. Paper artist Kazuki TAGUCHI will introduce you to the basics of washi making before you work with the natural materials yourself and create your own sheets. Two of your papers will be sent to you by mail after they have dried; the third sheet will be folded into an origami crane and become part of Kazuki TAGUCHI’s installation at NAXOS 2. OG.
