Refining Broken Ceramics

Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics. The shards are pieced back together and the cracks are gilded. As a result, the object is not simply repaired but changed into something unique. Artist Michiyo YAMASHITA will introduce you to this craft and invite you to give new life to broken ceramics yourself. You can bring objects with up to four breaks, but this is not required for participation.
