Founded in 1887, the Tokyo University of the Arts is Japan’s oldest national arts institute. We present two outstanding short films by students enrolled at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, which was established in Yokohama in 2005.

Ando has an unusual desk job: From behind his computer, he calmly orchestrates criminal schemes. Coordinating contacts, wiretapping people, and collecting extortion money are all part of his daily routine. But one day, 80 million yen vanish, and Ando begins to suspect foul play.

Yoshiaki ARAI was born in Tokyo in 1999. He first studied at Musashino Art University and went on to complete his master’s degree at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Film and New Media in 2026 with his first feature film ANDO (2025 / NC ‘26).
