About Akira NAGAI
永井聡
Akira NAGAI, born in Tokyo Prefecture in 1970, studied at Musashino University of the Arts and has been directing commercials for AOI Pro since 1994. Since his feature film debut, JUDGE! (2014), he has adapted several manga and novels for the screen. His film SUZUKI=BAKUDAN (2025 / NC ’26) received twelve nominations at the 49th Japan Academy Film Prize.
