FUJIKO

Nippon Cinema   ª

In the late 1970s, Fujiko becomes a single mother after financial and family problems escalate. Despite low paying jobs, a lack of childcare, and social stigma, she finds strength and dares to start anew. Director Taichi KIMURA combines serious topics with optimism and comedy to tell a story about women’s autonomy – accompanied by an energetic soundtrack.
