In his documentary debut, Shigeru YOSHIDA captures the efforts to revive this valuable cultural knowledge, highlighting the deep bond to nature that defines this practice.

About Shigeru YOSHIDA
ヨシダシゲル
Shigeru YOSHIDA, born in Fukui Prefecture in 1970, studied architecture at the Bunka Gakuin School. He began teaching himself filmmaking in 1995. He has worked for the production company Cogitoworks as an editor and director for TV and commercial spots since 2011 and has made promotional videos for the artist Takashi MURAKAMI. He founded Monosashi Public Relations in 2016 in order to help make Japanese culture and handcraft internationally known. SHADES OF INDIGO (2024 / NC ‘25) is his first documentary film.
