Suzu grows up in Hiroshima in the early 1940s. At 18, her family marries her to an officer from Kure. Wandering through her hometown one last time, she has no idea of the horrors to come. We present the extended version of the award-winning animated film, with art direction by Kosuke HAYASHI (NIPPON RISING STAR AWARD 2025).

About Sunao KATABUCHI
片渕須直
Born in Gifu in 1960, Sunao KATABUCHI studied at the College of Art at Nihon University and worked as a scriptwriter and assistant director for Hayao MIYAZAKI. After directing the TV series FAMOUS DOG LASSIE (1996), he founded the production company Genco in 1997. He collaborated in the production of various successful anime like PATLABOR THE MOVIE, MILLENNIUM ACTRESS, and TOKYO GODFATHERS.
