The Visual Industry Promotion Organization (VIPO) is a nonprofit organization that supports younger filmmakers. For this year’s Nippon Connection theme CITYSCAPES AND COUNTRYSIDE, they have developed a program featuring their own productions. In TOKYO CAPSULE HOTEL, a young woman moved to the capital to work in a hotel, where soon her life gets turned upside down. In FAREWELL, FAMILY, the protagonist moves to the country for the memorial to his father, where he has supernatural experiences. Concluding the program is MY BADDEST SPICY COOKING, a turbulent journey into the world of food journalism.
