In the shabby city of Treasure Town, life is beautiful and cruel at the same time. Black and White, two street boys, defend their territory against intruders. One day, a mysterious stranger arrives who plans to turn the city into an amusement park. TEKKON KINKREET is part of this year’s thematic focus CITYSCAPES AND COUNTRYSIDE.

About Michael ARIAS
マイケル・アリアス
Michael Arias was born in California in 1968 and has been living in Japan for 25 years. He was the first foreign filmmaker to direct a Japanese anime with TEKKONKINKREET (2006 / NC ’10, ’23), which became a huge international success.
