A Lecture By Eva Jungmann
The Japanese-German artist H. P. Miyabe TARO (1960–1997) is best known for his sculpture “Black Treble Clef” (1982) in front of the Frankfurt Jazz-Keller. The former student of the renowned Städel Art School was also an accomplished painter. In her lecture, Eva Jungmann presents pictures from the collection of the Institute of Japanese Studies at Goethe University Frankfurt and analyzes TARO’s connections with the art scene in Frankfurt and Tokyo.
