About Kenichi UGANA
宇賀那健一
Kenichi UGANA was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1984 and has acted in films since his school days. Following his studies in business administration, he began making his own independent films in 2005. His feature debut was GANGURO GAL’S RIOT (2016). His films have been screened and won awards at numerous international film festivals. Many of his films have already featured at Nippon Connection, including EXTRANEOUS MATTER-COMPLETE EDITION (2021 / NC ‘21), VISITORS –COMPLETE EDITION– (2023 / NC ‘23), WE ARE ALIENS (2024 / NC ‘25), THE GESUIDOUZ (2024 / NC ‘25), and I FELL IN LOVE WITH A Z-GRADE DIRECTOR IN BROOKLYN (2025 / NC ‘26).
