Mamoru is in love with Aya. When he learns that her father plans to move to Tokyo, he suggests running away from home. Together with Aya’s classmates, they make camp in an abandoned factory where they meet Mallet, a refugee boy searching for his parents. With his bittersweet coming-of-age story, Yuta MURANO also addresses current issues like unauthorized immigration.

About Yuta MURANO
村野佑太
Yuta MURANO, born in 1984, works for the animation studio Ajiado and has directed various anime TV series, like BRAVE BEATS (2015), DREAM FESTIVAL (2016 / 2017) and KAKUSHIGOTO (2020), among others. SEVEN DAYS WAR (2019 / NC ’21) is his first feature-length animation film.
