Naomi IWATA

Naomi IWATA was born in Shizuoka in 1960 and works as an illustrator, character designer, and director. He created successful animated series such as GREGORY HORROR SHOW (1999), PECOLA (2001) – which won an award at the 2001 Annecy International Animated Film Festival – and MIDNIGHT HORROR SCHOOL (2003). He also directed PINGU IN THE CITY (2017), the Japanese sequel to the Swiss stop-motion classic PINGU (1990).
