Nobuhiro SUWA
諏訪敦彦
Nobuhiro SUWA was born in Hiroshima in 1960 and studied at the Tokyo Zokei University School of Design. After graduation, he worked as assistant director for Sogo ISHII and others and directed TV documentaries. His film M/OTHER won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 1999 Cannes International Film Festival and his drama UN COUPLE PARFAIT won the Jury Prize and CICAE Award at the Locarno Film Festival in 2005. In 2017, his film THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT, starring Jean-Pierre Léaud, was released. Since 2014, he has been teaching film at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
