Yu IRIE
入江悠
Yu IRIE, born in Yokohama in 1979, made his first short films while studying at Nihon University College of Art. In 2006, he made his feature film debut with JAPONICA VIRUS. His multi-award-winning music films 8000 MILES – SR SAITAMA'S RAPPER (2008 / NC ‘10) and 8000 MILES 2 – GIRLS RAPPERS (2010 / NC ’10) were screened at numerous international film festivals, including Nippon Connection 2010. Subsequently, he focused on novel and manga adaptations such as JOKER GAME (2015) and GANGOOSE (2018). His independent film NINJA GIRL (2021 / NC ’22) was crowdfunded.
