Over the course of a year and a half, Ryuya SUZUKI single-handedly wrote, animated, and set to music his debut feature JINSEI. The film follows a mysterious protagonist who goes by different names. Bullied at school, he later rises to fame as an idol, endures the abyss of human existence, and ultimately finds cosmic liberation in this visionary masterpiece.

About Ryuya SUZUKI
鈴木竜也
Ryuya SUZUKI was born in Sendai in 1994 and studied at Tohuku University of Art and Design. He taught himself animation during the COVID-19 pandemic and made his first short films, which received numerous awards. For his crowdfunded feature film debut JINSEI (2025 / NC ‘26), SUZUKI handled the writing, animation, and soundtrack production entirely on his own. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
