Forty years after the release of the Russian original CHROCODILE GENA, Japanese productions have created a new stopmotion puppet animation featuring Cheburashka. Mysterious creature Cheburashka arrives in Russia, packed in an orange crate. He takes refuge in a telephone booth and becomes friends with a lonely crocodile named Gena who has posted “Friend Wanted” flyers allover town.

About Makoto NAKAMURA
Makoto NAKAMURA, born in Saitama Prefecture in 1970, has worked as a graphic designer, screenwriter, production supervisor and producer before taking a chance on directing. His debut film from 2010 was a remake of the Russian puppet animation CHEBURASHKA.
