While accompanying him, Philippe Grandrieux uses hypnotic images and sounds to explore the borderline between our thoughts and reality and also to question both the foundations of artistic practice and political activism.
About Philippe Grandrieux
Philippe Grandrieux (born 1954) is a French director and video artist. After studying at the Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle (INSAS) in Brussels, he began working on short films, documentaries and experimental films. Since the 1980s, he has collaborated with the Institut National de l'Audiovisuel (INA) and created the "Live" project in 1990. He has also been active in the field of teaching. In 1998, he turned to feature films with SOMBRE.
