It May Be That Beauty Has Strengthened Our Resolve – Masao Adachi

Nippon Visions   ½

“Revolution means: ‘I don't understand’”. Masao ADACHI, now over 70, was one of the most relevant left-wing intellectuals, writers, filmmakers and activists of the Sixties and Seventies in Japan. While accompanying him, Philippe Grandrieux uses hypnotic images and sounds to explore the borderline between our thoughts and reality and also to question both the foundations of artistic practice and political activism.
