Sano returns to the seaside town where he first met his recently deceased wife Nagi. All that remains of the once flourishing resort are deserted beaches and empty hotels. As he sinks deeper into his grief, Sano’s memories of Nagi grow more intense. Kohei IGARASHI’s sensitive drama illustrates the importance of small moments.

Kohei IGARASHI was born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1983. He made his first feature film, VOICE OF RAIN THAT COMES AT NIGHT (2008), during his studies at Tokyo Zokei University. HOLD YOUR BREATH LIKE A LOVER (2014 / NC ‘15), his final project at Tokyo University of the Arts in Yokohama, was shown at the 67th Locarno Film Festival. His films THE NIGHT I SWAM (2017 / NC ‘18) and SUPER HAPPY FOREVER (2024 / NC ‘25) were screened at the Venice Film Festival.
