In the near future, many people travel into space in search of new life forms. When cleaner Keiji hears of a new expedition, he wants to apply. He is looking for a possibility of a non-physical existence which his wife Shizuka longs for. In JOURNEY, director Shogo KIRIU creates atmospheric intensity through a contemplative rhythm, visual power of cosmic scale and existential questions.

About Shogo KIRIU
霧生笙吾
Shogo KIRIU studied film at Musashino Art University, focusing on feature film production, photography and computer animation. After two short films, JOURNEY (2022 / NC ’23) is his first feature-length film as well as his graduation project, with which he won the Skip City Award at the SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL
