The arrival of the stranger Yasaka, played by 2015 NIPPON HONOR AWARD winner Tadanobu ASANO, threatens to destroy the quiet life of an ordinary, rural Japanese family. Koji FUKADA references thriller tropes and Greek tragedy in his subtly disturbing take on the Japanese family drama. The movie won him the “Un Certain Regard” Jury Prize in Cannes in 2016.
