An austere and probing look at everyday discrimination that shines a light on challenges many groups of people regularly face. The staged situations and discussions of the film are based on a real case.

About Atsushi FUNAHASHI
舩橋淳

Born in Osaka in 1974, Atsushi FUNAHASHI studied at the University of Tokyo and at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Starting with his debut film ECHOES (2001), he has devoted himself to political topics both in his documentaries and fictional films. He was invited to Berlinale in 2012 and 2013 with his films NUCLEAR NATION and COLD BLOOM respectively. Both films deal with the consequences of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. In 2017, Nippon Connection invited his documentary RAISE YOUR ARMS AND TWIST! DOCUMENTARY OF NMB48 to the festival.
