Scoutman

Nippon Cinema   ª

Scoutmen can be found everywhere on Tokyo's streets. They publicly address young women in order to cast them for sex videos or recruit them as bar girls. The Japanese sex industry is huge and constantly needs new blood, and it is the job of the scoutmen to find it. It is frightening and amazing to see how little scruples these young women have to get involved off the street. The film portrays a group of young people in search of the quick money they hope to earn from their activity. But everything has its price, the only question is when to pay it. SCOUTMAN is a fast, lively and impressive film that approaches its subject without moralizing. After BOUNCE KO GALS (NIPPON CONNECTION 2000), this is the second film that deals with the explosive topic of youth prostitution in Japan.
