"Yokohama Mary" is an old lady who lives in Yokohama. She wears make-up as white as a Kabuki actor and is dressed aristocratically. In the winter of 1995, Mary suddenly disappeares. This documentary follows her path and thus creates a vivid portrait of a city and it's people.

About Takayuki NAKAMURA
Born in Yokohama in 1975, Takayuki NAKAMURA started his career in 1997 as an assistant director at Shochiku’s Ofuna studios. From 1999 to 2001, he studied at the Beijing Film Academy. After returning to Japan, he worked with Chinese filmmaker Ying LI. YOKOHAMA MARY (2005) was his theatrical debut film as director. He currently teaches at the Japan Institute of the Moving Image.
