About Makoto SHINKAI
Makoto SHINKAI, born in Nagano Prefecture in 1973, studied Japanese literature. He worked as a graphic designer for computer games and began directing himself. Because he participates in many of the work steps, SHINKAI counts as a true auteur of animated film.
