Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival 2

Nippon Digital   ½

Quentin Tarantino named the murderous schoolgirl from KIL BIL Go Go Yubari after his favorite film festival. Since 1990 the festival deep in the snow-covered mountains of Hokkaido has been a showcase for the most dynamic, fearless, and punch-packing films from the young indie scene of Japan. After the cities bankruptcy in 2006, the festival itself is in danger. We want to express our support for this incredibly important institution by presenting some of the best films from the recent years - selected by rabble-rousing critic and Yubari Program Director Tokitoshi SHIOTA himself!
