Featuring The Stream X and The Stream XIV by Hiroya SAKURAI

In the short film series THE STREAM, Hiroya SAKURAI explores rice cultivation in the Ogura-ike reclaimed land area in Kyoto. In tranquil montages, he uses the movements of wind and water to reveal the changes and structure of the landscape throughout the cultivation cycle. In a video installation, we present the latest episode, THE STREAM XIV, as well as the award-winning THE STREAM X, in Germany for the first time.
