Japanese Folk Dance
Every August, the Obon Festival is celebrated throughout Japan with rhythmic drumming and colorful yukata. Integral to the festivities is the traditional bon odori folk dance – a joyful welcome to the spirits of departed ancestors. Let the members of the Bon-Odori Tanzkreis e. V. introduce you to the culture of this dance and teach you its harmonious, flowing movements! Please come dressed in comfortable clothing.
