Deaf and grumpy Chen lives in Taipei, getting by as a petty scammer. But when he meets a deaf Japanese boy who got separated from his father, he reluctantly takes care of him. They gradually form a bond, forcing Chen to face suppressed memories. Shot with a largely deaf cast, this moving drama premiered at the 2025 Tokyo International Film Festival.

About Mika IMAI
今井ミカ

Mika IMAI, born in Gunma Prefecture in 1988, was raised with Japanese sign language as their first language. Their feature film debut was UNTIL RAINBOW DAWN (2018) and they received numerous awards for GINGER & HONEY MILK (2021). In 2022, IMAI founded SANDO PLUS, a film and video production company for deaf artists that also produces sign language videos for cultural organizations.
