cocoon - One Summer of Girlhood -

cocoon〜ある夏の少女たちより〜

Nippon Animation   ³

San and Mayu are best friends at a girls’ school on a tropical island during war. Classes have long been replaced by manual labor to build a military camp when the girls are assigned to work at a “hospital” set up in a cave, to help care for wounded soldiers. As the situation becomes dire, what path will San and Mayu choose? Based on the manga COCOON by Kyo MACHIKO that was inspired by the battles in Okinawa during the Pacific War, young talents in animation teamed with veterans to create a story for the audience of 2025 and beyond.
